Posters of the Japanese cuisine festival

This is a festival of Japanese cuisine that takes place in Baku during the summer. Its goal is to immerse visitors in the atmosphere of Eastern culture and introduce them to Japanese food. During the festival, there are thematic lectures, food tastings, competitions, and masterclasses.

For the development of the identity, I was inspired by the imagery of dishes in the worlds of Hayao Miyazaki and macro photography of food - vibrant colors, emotions, and sensations they evoke. It's a feeling of sudden hunger, the intrigue to learn and see more, a mental sense of smell and taste.

The main concept is to show a piece of a dish as part of the larger Japanese culture in the illustrations and to create a desire in visitors to learn more about this culture. It aims to awaken visitors' desire to broaden their perspective and simultaneously immerse themselves in the atmosphere, to momentarily become part of this culture.
